YH5W Silicone-housed Gapless Metal Oxide Surge Arresters

YH5W surge arresters are used for the protection of electric equipment in high voltage systems against atmospheric and switching overvoltage.

Each of our surge arrester is manufactured with the utmost care and undergoes rigorous testing according to accreditation standards.
 In comparison to porcelain-housed surge arrester, the silicone-housed surge arrester has superb electric insulating capability with high dielectric strength; exceptional withstanding of galvanic corrosion, harsh climates, aging, and explosion; the silicone rubber is intrinsically hydrophobic and light weighted.
Arrester disconnector disconnects the arrester from the system in the event of device failure, thus preventing a persistent fault on the system and giving visual indication of the failed arrester.

YH5W surge arresters has been verified to meet Station Class requirements of IEEE C62.11 (IEEE Standard for Metal-Oxide Surge Arresters for AC Power Circuits) and Line Discharge Class 3 requirements of IEC 60099-4 (IEC Standard for Metal-Oxide Surge Arresters without gaps for AC Systems).
